PROJECTS & EVENTS
* HEAD START - We deliver books to Headstart three times during the year so that every child could add them to their home library. We believe that there is nothing more important than providing an interest in books to children at an early age.
* HEALTHY KIDS DAY - Every year we participate in Healthy Kids Day which is sponsored by the YMCA. Usually we give each child a book to take home with them.
* CAUGHT DOING GOOD Champaign County Law Enforcement agencies collaborated with us to distribute "Caught Doing Good" certificates for ice cream cones.
* MONETARY CONTRIBUTIONS are often made to: the Summer Theater Camp, the Urbana Youth Center, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Fundraiser, and the Champaign County Community Christmas.
* THE 2024 NIGHT AT THE RACES FUNDRAISER - March 8th we held our annual NIGHT AT THE RACES FUNDRAISER at the local VFW.......Everyone had a great time!!
* READY, SET, GO PRE-K EXPO - We offered books to every child who attended the Ready, Set, Go Pre-K Expo sponsored by Early Childhood Collaborative Committee and Champaign County Family and Children First Council
* AKTION CLUB BOWLING - Everyone has a great time Bowling with the AKTION CLUB
* TRIAD FAMILY LITERACY NIGHT - We donate books for every child who attends the TRIAD FAMILY LITERACY NIGHT
* SCHOLARSHIP - We offer a SCHOLARSHIP for a Champaign County High School Senior
